I couldnt believe your story as it parrelled ours so much. We too had Chris. We are just back from Bali but being old, pensioners and unable to think straight, we got conned into signing and paying a deposit of $2500. The pressure on you is enormous and like you we thought we would just go and help the kid out with his $50. We were told ours was a "Travel Club" and that we would get 2 for 1 trips and 50% off most tours etc. As the one they dangled was Canada and Alaska, one we always wanted to do, we were told it was a 2 for 1 offer and " only $6000" . On getting back to Australia the booking Company say it is not. Also, he said it was around $12000 retail price - can get it on the web for around $6000. We have been devastated. Being on the pension we cant afford to lose all this money. We have asked for a cancellation but have had no reply.
Has anyone ever been able to get out of this scam?
Cant beleive we were suckered into this. Old heads need much more time to think things through.
Thanks for your site, Tony.

Hi Margaret,
I'm so sorry their high pressure tactics bamboozled you into letting go of your hard earned money.
I don't know of anyone who's successfully had them return any money but perhaps it does happen.
I didn't know of a way to get back at them except for putting up with little website.
I hope is helps people who want some answers in some small way. I've put your email on the site to perhaps help another person.
Thank you for taking the time to let me know of your experience.
Regards
Tony James
Margaret to me
Thanks Tony.
We have written saying we are prepred to forfeit our deposit to cancel the agreeement. We just want to get out of it as we are aged pensioners and just cannot afford the expense or worry of it all. In 12 years we could both be dead!. If we get our contract cancelled I will let you know.
Margaret.
